These five standing stones, set in a semi circle on Green Bank in the Lordstones Country Park, are a recent addition. They were erected about three years ago before the work on the renovation to the Lordstones cafe actually began. The stones have been placed forty, maybe fifty metres north east of an old obvious boundary stone which is named on the 1854 Ordnance Survey map as The Hall Cliff Stone. The reasoning behind the new stones escapes me. Just a modern folly I guess.
