Full Cold Moon

The first full moon of the winter is known as a Full Cold Moon. And tonight’s full moon is extra special because is the first full moon to appear on Christmas Day since 1977, 38 years. It won’t happen again until 2034.

Technically here in the UK the maximum fullness occurs at 11:11 tonight on Christmas Eve. In the US it’s something like 6 o’clock in the morning. All this is according to NASA who seem to know what they’re talking about.
