Glencoyne

A Lakeland dale with a Scottish flavour, Glencoyne is a National Trust farm dating to the 17th century and one of their largest in the National Park.
Most visitors whizz along side of Ullswater on the A592, the car park at Glencoyne Bay is particularly popular. Two such visitors were William and Dorothy Wordsworth who passed by on 15th April 1802 on their way to Grasmere. The daffodils there inspired William to write his famous poem.
