Brotherswater

A largish tarn, or a smallish Lake, at the head of Patterdale in the English Lake District, Brotherswater is named after two brothers who unfortunately drowned in there on New Year’s Day 1812 whilst skating on the frozen lake. Dove Crag and Hart Crag are the major peaks on the other side of the valley.
