The morning started off bright if a little windy but with a deteriorating forecast. Grey skies loomed as I set out for my morning’s constitutional. Me Mam used say it were black over Bill’s mother’s. I never did find out who Bill was. I didn’t have any relatives by that name. Both William Shakespeare and Kaiser Wilhelm have been suggested as likely candidates.
But climbing Easby Bank up to Captain Cook’s Monument, a break in the clouds and the sun shone on the golden bracken. A minute later the gloom returned. So an opportunistic photo today.
