The Helvellyn Range from Lonscale Fell

On Lonscale Fell looking south east across the Vale of Keswick to the Helvellyn range of mountains. Lonscale Fell is a 2,346 foot high subsidiary peak of Skiddaw. Its southern and western slopes are steep grass covered convex fells. Only the craggy eastern slope deserves some closer scrutiny falling almost vertically down to the Glenderaterra Beck which separates the fell from Blencathra.
