Hole of Horcum

An enormous bowl, mid way between Goathland and Lockton. Said to have been created when the giant Wade, annoyed that his wife, Bell, had stormed off across the moors after they had had a tiff, scooped up a giant handful of earth and threw it at her. It missed but the mound where it landed became to be known as Blakey Topping.
